Classes We Offer

• Texas License to Carry On-Line Instruction $50

This class provides the Texas Department of Public Safety required classroom training and qualification; Citizens need in order to obtain a Texas License to Carry. This class has 4 to 6 hours of classroom instruction followed by the Texas License to Carry student test, students must score a 70% or better, 18 correct answers out of 25. The On-line class allows the student to complete the class in the comfort of their own home and at their own pace, stopping and any time and restarting where they left off. Although the class is set up to take up to 6 hours, most student only take 4. Once the On-Line is completed the student will need to contact a local LTC instructor to conduct the shooting proficiency. Those students who complete the On-Line with Tall Pines will only pay $25.00 for the shooting proficiency. If completed with a different provided $50, Veterans $10 We conduct our Shooting Proficiency in Longview Texas. If Longview is not convenient, we will assist the student in finding an instructor in their area. 

• Texas License to Carry In Classroom Instruction $85 Veterans $75 

This class provides the Texas Department of Public Safety required classroom training and qualification; Citizens need in order to obtain a Texas License to Carry. This class has 4 to 6 hours of classroom instruction followed by the Texas License to Carry student test, students must score a 70% or better, 18 correct answers out of 25. The student must also take the Texas License to Carry a Handgun License Proficiency Demonstration Course of Fire. Students must complete this course with a minimum score of 70% (175 out of possible 250). If any malfunctions are encountered, the shooter will work through the problem and finish the course of fire. If rounds are held, not fired within the allotted time, the shots will be scored as misses. All courses of fire will be scored on a standard B-27 target. The B-27 target must be 24 inches by 45 inches and may be one of four colors; black, blue, red, or green.

• Safety & Pistol Shooting Fundamentals $125

The Safety & Shooting Fundamentals Class combine the what the body dose naturally with the functions and characteristics of the weapon. Learning what the body does naturally is key when reacting in a defensive situation. We take the student though a series of simple drill to complex drills. Teaching safety, situational awareness and how to train for a dynamic critical incident. The class is 2 to 4 plus hours and pro-rated at $32.00 per hour per student. 

• Combo Class, Safety & Pistol Shooting Fundamentals and Texas LTC. $200.00

This class combines the Texas LTC and Safety & Pistol Shooting Fundamental Class. This is a 2 day class, day one is either the on-line LTC or the in-class room LTC, day two is the Safety and pistol Shooting Fundamentals Class. This class is designed for the citizen who choose to obtain a LTC and has limited to no experience with a hand gun.
